Mario Fumagalli
  • 1979-1983: obtained degree in Nuclear Engineering at Politecnico di Milano.
  • 1984: joined Philips Data Systems as system manager.
  • 1988: joined Philips IMS as CD-i product manager.
  • 1994-up to now: Managing Director of CD-Italy, renamed MediaItaly in 1999, an independent company leader in the Italian Multimedia market for off-line applications (CD-I, CD-ROM, Video-CD, etc.) and on-line applications (Internet/Intranet) with specia lfocus on Mobile applications.
  • 2007-up to now: CEO of Mixel scarl, a research consortium, founded by STMicroelectronics, Coloradofilm, Dedalo and MediaItaly specifically dedicated to reasearch and development in the mobile digital entertainment.
Executive producer of some of the most important Italian multimedia projects :
  • Nirvana X-ROM, the first interactive multimedia game on CD-rom based on Gabriele Salvatores¡¦ movie ¡§Nirvana¡¨ and commisioned by Cecchi Gori Group
  • L¡¦albero Azzurro, the first full screen-full motion, interactive game developed by RAI, the Italian public Broadcasting Company
  • RisiKo, the interactive videogame based on the popular ¡§Risk¡¨ game. Commissioned by Editrice Giochi
Coordinating project manager of two consortium dedicated at the developement of two
reasearch projects, called ¡§T_Education¡¨ and ¡§At Home Hospital¡¨, founded by MIT (Italian Ministry of Innovation) and by Regione Lombardia.

Mario Fumagalli

Giuseppe Maggiore graduated Cum Laude at both the Bachelor and Master of Science in Computer Science at Università Ca' Foscari di Venezia. In Venice he has also been working as a tutor in various courses, ranging from "Introduction to functional programming" to "Computer Graphics" and to "Software Engineering". In the meantime Giuseppe also taught the "High Level Game Programming/XNA" course at the Master in Game Development in Verona for the 2010 and 2011 editions.
Giuseppe has been working for the last decade and a half as an indie game developer, and he is finishing a doctorate on languages for game development through Casanova.
Giuseppe is also currently working at NHTV University of Applied Sciences in Breda, NL. There he is working as a researcher at the IMI project for the application and development of AI algorithms to profile mobile users. His current research is heavily focused on planning algorithms paired with statistical and machine learning techniques. At NHTV he is also working as a lecturer for the Research Writing course and the Hardware 1 course.

Marco Mazzaglia

Marco Mazzaglia

Marco Mazzaglia was born in Turin in 1974. At the age of 3 he had the first ¡§contact¡¨ with computer and video games. Several years later he earned his degree in Computer Science at ¡§Università degli Studi di Torino¡¨, writing a graduation thesis about DyLog, a metalanguage of Prolog for the Artificial Intelligence.
In 1996 with other 23 people he founded a Social Co-operative, ¡§La Bussola¡¨, in order to deliver services related to web technologies and to teach the use of the Internet to no lucrative organizations.
In his first job he worked on web architectures and localization based services for the Ministry of the Interior and the Italian State Police.
By January 2008 he works as IT Manager and Video Game Evangelist for Milestone; in this context, he takes care of the design and management of development systems and he works on the online game architectures.


Stefano Pezzoli
Lead Programmer Online Team, Milestone


Always interested in the world of video games, Stefano has set his entire academic career to the study and development of video games. After graduating at the University of Milan he worked as a game programmer at Ubisoft. Since July 2008 he works at Milestone srl; he started as a game programmer, now he plays the role of lead programmer in charge of the online team.
